During October and November, Soundwatch was awarded two special grants. The first was from Patagonia Seattle to help fund their education efforts. The second is from SPCA International, naming Soundwatch their "shelter of the week."

SPCA International recognizes how difficult a job this can be – that is why the Shelter of the Week recognition program was created. This program honors animal organizations throughout the world for outstanding work to save and protect all kinds of animals. Each shelter chosen receives a cash grant and is recognized on spcai.org.
